We support the fight against cancer and help provide funds to continue vital research.
Women On the Move Against Cancer (WOMAC) is a friendly community of automotive industry volunteers raising money to support worthwhile cancer research.
We’re incredibly grateful for the continued support from WOMAC – it will make a real difference to our education and prevention work.
Without fundraising such as yours, we could not do this important research which is making a difference to people with cancer and the way they lead their lives.
WOMAC supports a different cancer project each year, with our choice often inspired by the treatment a friend, relative or colleague has received, or by a particularly worthy cause highlighted by the medical profession. The projects we back may support patients at home, in hospitals or hospices, or help fund vital equipment, facilities or treatment for men, women or children. Whatever the focus, our shared goal is always the same: to raise as much money as possible to support the ongoing fight against cancer.
We are a group of volunteers working in the automotive industry who give our time, energy and expertise freely. There are no hidden overheads or extravagant expenses – every penny raised goes directly to the charity or project we support. Since 1979, WOMAC has donated over £1,000,000 to cancer-related causes. While we recognise this is only a small contribution compared to the scale of cancer care and research, we firmly believe that every contribution counts and that our efforts play a small but meaningful role in driving progress.
WOMAC raises funds through a range of activities throughout the year. Since our inception, we have supported a wide variety of projects, from research into more effective treatments to initiatives that improve quality of life for cancer patients, their families and carers.
